The E21 ERP manufacturing software system delivers complete engineering change order (ECO) processing for discrete and process manufacturers. Using E21’s ECO processing, organizations can easily track the modifications made and authorizations given at every stage of product development.

With the integrated bill of materials (BOM) and manufacturing routing management, E21’s engineering change order software functionality automatically generates new engineering change notice (ECN) IDs and revision numbers as bills of materials and manufacturing routings are copied and altered to create new variations of a BOM or routing. This feature allows organizations to see a complete history of product alterations from one BOM and routing version to the next.

Using the E21 ERP Workflow Designer, automated messages can be routed to key users whenever a new ECN is generated for online review and subsequent revision approval. The workflow and approval features in the Workflow Designer help ensure the team communicates effectively throughout the product development process. Engineers and product developers can also set the date on which the version of the BOM should be made active. Once approved and active, the new version of the BOM or routing can be utilized in E21’s integrated ERP MRP processes.
