Customers, customer contacts, addresses, payment terms, delivery routes, scheduled delivery days, and more are automatically synced between the E21 ERP system and the B2B platform using built-in web service APIs. These processes ensure a consistent order placement experience, whether the order is placed online or manually entered by the customer service department.

Flexible customer pricing rules make for seamless customer order entry experiences. Leveraging the included E21 APIs, prices customers see for products online are no different than those a customer service representative sees when entering orders in the backend ERP system, even if customers have unique pricing rules applicable only to them.

From customer-specific and contract pricing to tiered pricing, volume discounts, and promotions, the E21 ERP B2B e-commerce platform allows the order entry process to be transitioned from customer service representatives to customers. This allows customer service reps to spend less time entering orders and more time servicing customers. Moreover, customers can search for products using their customer-specific item number, while the platform ensures that any item exclusion rules are followed. The system even adheres to customer-specific order minimum and order increment quantity requirements.

Orders placed via the B2B platform are automatically pushed to the E21 ERP system, eliminating the need for manual data entry from the customer service team. To support customer self-service, customers have online visibility into the real-time status of their orders, regardless of whether the orders were entered through the e-commerce platform or on the backend ERP system. As orders are shipped, tracking information and other shipment-related data is automatically emailed to the customer.

Beyond order placement and fulfillment activities, the E21 B2B e-commerce solution offers a secure payment portal for customers to pay invoices online. Once an order is invoiced, the customer can log into their account, select one or multiple invoices to pay, and submit their payment via credit card or ACH. Once the payment is submitted, a cash application batch and AR matching record are automatically created in E21.
