The automated process provides two-way and three-way matching to reduce processing time and data errors and eliminate overpayments. And with the E21 ERP document management solution, organizations can move their payables operations to a completely paperless environment. From scanning packing slips and quality documents during receiving to attaching vendor invoices to a payables record, E21 gives the AP team easy access to all documents associated with each step of the procure-to-pay process. Then, with the E21 ERP workflow engine, organizations can automate the routing and approval of vendor invoices.

To complete the procure-to-pay cycle, users can select from a list of unpaid vouchers for payment, process the payment, and post the associated AP batch to the source journal. Payments can be made by check, eCheck, ACH (with built-in support for Positive Pay), and EFT. With E21’s fully integrated EDI software functionality, the remittance process can be completely automated with E21’s built-in support for the EDI 820 transaction. With E21’s integrated import management and landed cost tracking software features, freight charges and other landed cost elements can be rolled into product costs during receiving. From a payables perspective, landed cost elements can be tracked and accounted for with unique AP accrual accounts if desired. Then, during the AP matching process, inventory can be revalued based on actual freight and landed cost charges while accounting for purchase price variances automatically.
