Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Below are just a few examples:

Prompt users to enter quality control test results for product lots during receiving, and then automatically print the test results on the certificate of analysis (COA) later when the product lot is shipped.
During processes like receiving and shipping, users are automatically prompted to print the appropriate labels and documents, like GHS labels, safety data sheets (SDSs), COAs, and hazardous bills of lading (BOLs).
Identify a product’s safety risks on GHS labels that include pictograms, signal words, and parts of the body that could be targeted by chemical exposure. E21’s chemical distribution ERP uses a GHS classification system, making setting up a product’s label quicker and easier.
Comply with United Nations (UN), Department of Transportation (DOT), International Air Transport Association (IATA), and International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) regulations as it relates to the transport of products containing chemicals. Automatically flag certain types of new products as requiring additional transportation-related setup so the product records are not used until the setup is completed. During setup, associate the product with a UN number, hazard codes, packaging group, and proper shipping name so these elements print correctly on a hazardous BOL for the appropriate mode of transport.
Use a carrier approval process that ensures the carrier has provided the appropriate documentation allowing them to transport products containing chemicals. If the documentation has not been provided or has expired, E21 will not allow the carrier to be used during the order entry and shipping processes.
If a carrier has been assigned a limit on how much of a chemical substance they can transport, E21 will prevent the carrier from being used in a sales order and shipment if they will otherwise exceed the limit.
Automatically generate reportable quantities on a hazardous BOL based on requirements established in your system, in compliance with the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA).
Use a dashboard to track how much of a Chemical Abstract Service (CAS) number is on hand in the warehouse at any one time and how much of a CAS number has been consumed over a range of dates. See if any CAS numbers failed their regulation checks in any facilities or warehouses.

Establish printing frequency rules for SDSs. For example, the SDS can be automatically generated when the customer’s first order ships, when the customer’s subsequent order ships only if the SDS has been revised, and with any additional order shipments if it’s been a designated number of days.
